SCHÖNBRUNN ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN (TIERGARTEN)
This zoological garden with its magnificent Baroque decor is one of Vienna's most popular attractions.
In the summer of 1752, Emperor Franz I, the husband of Maria Theresa, presented his guests with the newly built menagerie in his palace park. Today it is a modern zoo, concerned with biodiversity, committed to the protection of several endangered species, involved in the well-being of its tenants and in the educational dimension and awareness of the public, especially children.
