An architectural audacity and a museum that restores all the vitality of pop art and Western art of the 20th century. Stunning!
In the heart of the MuseumsQuartier, a massive building in anthracite basalt and modern architecture houses the MUMOK and its captivating temporary exhibitions of modern art. Designed by architects Ortner & Ortner with a nod to New York's Guggenheim, the museum is... stunning. Its hermetic block-like appearance conceals a heart of glass and light, and from the top floor, a panoramic view of Vienna. The MUMOK was renovated during the first 5 months of 2024.
