The house houses a number of objects from the past that once belonged to the artist Schubert.
Less famous than Mozart and yet equally prolific, Schubert is a composer who deserves to be known. The house of his house, today, hides beautiful pieces that belonged to the "Prince of the song". At that time, 17 families cohabited in this modest construction. His father, the school master, taught over 100 children on the ground floor. Some objects, witness of the past, having belonged to the artist, are among the collection exhibited: his guitar, the fac of his partitions and, as the centrepiece of the collection, the small round glasses he wore… Schubert moved in 1801, to live at No. 3 of the Saulengasse. It was for these three years that, in addition to his assistance to his father, the talented composer created more than 300 lieder and dances.
