Church where Schubert's liturgical works are often performed at Sunday mass.
Today, the Lichtental Church, built between 1712 and 1718, is often referred to as the Schubert Church because it was important in the composer's life. First he was baptized there, then he became a singer and organist in its choir from 1812 to 1820. In addition, his first mass was performed there in 1814. The church itself is an interesting monument, a transition between baroque and classical styles, in a peaceful and charming neighbourhood. Schubert's liturgical works are often played here during Sunday mass.
