The green and blue lung of the city, the Danube Island is one of the jewels of the Austrian capital, it is very appreciated by the locals.

The site contributes greatly to the quality of life in Vienna, it is highly appreciated by the locals with its 17 km of green spaces along the river. Joggers, bikers, wakeboarders, kayakers, rowers and swimmers on sunny days make the island between Donau City and Alte Donau a real urban outdoor sports ground. At the end of June, the Danube Island Festival, Europe's biggest open-air music festival, is held in the island, and all summer long the Copa Kagrana beach resort is open to the public.
