A return to the past and the splendour of past centuries through concerts featuring Mozart and Strauss.
This beautiful Renaissance building, opened in 1862, is now home to the Alt Wien Salon Orchestra for concerts dedicated to Johann Strauss, who himself conducted concerts here on several occasions. Every evening, nine musicians, two opera singers and a couple of ballet dancers make the walls of this institution vibrate to the rhythm of the composer's most beautiful works, with a few infidelities for Mozart's signature pieces. Adjoining restaurant for dinner.

We visited a classic concert (Mozart and Strauss) in November. The room is beautiful but few musicians and just a couple dancers (misleading poster)… the price listed A it is too expensive (€ __ent_numeric) and concert is short total 1:30 but an interval of 25 minutes…). That remains pleasant to see and listen as played.
