Excellent Austro-Hungarian establishment, i.e. featuring the cuisine of non-Austrians from the former empire. A table therefore essentially Hungarian and Slovenian, with dishes, mostly meat-based, copious and tasty. Goulash is king, as is paprika. The whole is very neat, the service impeccable and the decoration traditional. Besides the objects and trinkets representative of Hungarian-Slovenian craftsmanship, one of the most remarkable ceilings in Vienna can be admired: paintings of rustic scenes on wood.
