The beach of Khor Ambado, much more pleasant than its neighbour Doraleh, is one of the prettiest in the country. The place is deserted during the week, but very crowded on Fridays. And the sun is shining hard. It is better to arrive early to benefit from a shaded area (for 1,000 FDJ per person). The best time to go there is from October to May, after that it is too hot. The view is magnificent. Several straw huts offer shelter from the sun (about 500 FDJ for a deckchair) and offer meals, the restaurants are mostly open on weekends. The brochettes are generally excellent. We particularly recommend Le Bon Air. The restaurant also offers packages to go to the beach by boat or bus. On the spot, beer is 1,000 FDJ. You can bring your own drinks, with a small cooler, it will be even better. As for activities, for those who are bored with the beach, snorkeling and apnea enthusiasts can enjoy the sea bed, it is even possible to swim near a wreck. Khor Ambado is located 6 km west of Doraleh, on a beautiful rocky track that is clearly preferable to take with a 4x4.
