ST. JOHN'S MONASTERY (KLÁŠTOR A KOSTOL SV. JÁNA)

This church of St John the Baptist was built in 1380 in Gothic style. It was renovated in the 17th century and the monastery was connected to the city walls. In 1759, the complex was enlarged again and renovated in the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, the interior of the church has liturgical elements from the 17th and 18th centuries. The monastery has preserved its original windows and portals. This sacred building is the second most important in Bardejov.
