PIRÔŽKY

If you're feeling peckish and want to eat locally, go to Terézia Bačová's little shop. She makes the best pirôžky in the city. You can take them to go and taste this speciality. Pirôžky are kinds of doughnuts filled with meat, cheese or vegetables, in a savoury version or with poppy seed, fruit jam or chocolate in a sweet version. If you want to feel like you're in Eastern Europe, this is the place to come. Of course, it's not very healthy, but you have to try it.
