ST. ANTONIUS CHURCH OF PADUA (SV PADUANSKEHO)

The second oldest church in the city, it was built by the Franciscans after the great fire of 1333. The exterior still has Gothic elements, including the sculptures overlooking the main entrance. It was the seat of the bishopric of Eger from 1597 to 1671, when the city fell into the hands of the Turks before later returning to the Franciscan congregation. The interior of the church was redecorated in the Baroque style.
