Wherever you are, a glass of mulled wine at the Christmas market is a must if you want to soak up the local life.

The last weekend of November marks the opening of the Christmas market in the country's main cities. Stands and sometimes even a temporary ice rink are built on the main square of the city. It is a ritual for the locals to get together with colleagues (as a kind of official or unofficial team building ) or friends over a glass of mulled wine. The alcohol warms up during these cold evenings with traditional or rearranged Christmas carols.
