POHODA FESTIVAL

The military airport in Trenčin is home to the largest festival in Slovakia. Over 30,000 spectators gather every year to party for three days to the sound of international and local stars. In recent years, bands and artists such as Charlotte Gainsbourg, Wu-Tang Clan, Joan Baez, Fat Boy Slim, the Pixies have performed there. Most Slovaks travel by public transport and by the end of the festival the buses and trains back home are packed, so the journey is epic.
