This place is truly stunning. I spent my birthday here and they were very accommodating in that we were able to book on the day for the evening. The food is reminiscent of Italian food from years gone by, which is very comforting. It's not the place for modern gastronomy but the place for gorgeous comforting Italian classics. The zucchini flowers and the truffle pasta were two favourites from our meal there. The atmosphere of the rooftop garden is the absolute selling point of the restaurant. Perfect for a romantic evening.

The place seems to be nice, but the foods were not good. I tried pistacchio pizza with mortadella. But the mortadella slices was too thick. We got 3 different pizzas but all of them was too salty and not top good for us. It isn't raining when we were there, but when we told the waiters we would like to sit outside on the terrace under the lemon trees, they told is it is nőt allowed because of the rainy chairs. This restaurant was not a good choosen, but the Spritz Aperol were good. ☺️

Quite traumatic really. My friends and I were unsure, based on some negative reviews, whether we should eat here. So we ordered drinks while looking at the menu. We were going to give them the benefit of the doubt (even though the glass of wine poured was less than generous), when suddenly the waiter found it necessary after 10mins to remind us that it was a restaurant: we were to order food or get out!!! As we left we were shocked to be barked and sworn at. Utterly disgraceful behaviour and no shame in front of other patrons. Bizarre. Why work in hospitality? Poor representation of an Italian dining experience.

Me and my husband went to this restaurant last night. The waiters barely smiled. One woman actually rolled her eyes behind the costumer. The food was ok, a desent meal but thats it.. the service was bad. They didnt even say goodbye when we left. Not going back there.

We stumbled upon this place our first day in Sorrento and visited for lunch. We sat outside on the main street, not at the indoor restaurant. It was lovely. We shared the pesto bruschetta and the lemon ravioli and both were spectacular. The service was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable!

Right on the main drag for people watching. Very pleasant service with nice recommendations. We did the prosciutto with melon as an appetizer. Then lasagna for main course. Everything was wonderful!

The worst service ever! Awful server! Very very expensive - margarita 13€!!! We were with two small kids -2 and 4 yrs. We order pizza and pasta and the server ask us to order more or leave the restaurant?!

Unwelcoming Staff and Not Dog-Friendly
My partner and I had a very disappointing experience at The Garden da Gennaro in Sorrento. The staff was rude and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived with our dog. They made it clear that they did not want us to bring our dog inside, even though we've seen other restaurants in the area that are more accommodating to pet owners. To make matters worse, while I was waiting for my partner who went to the toilet, a staff member asked me to move away from the entrance, making me feel even more unwelcome. We were really looking forward to trying their food, but their attitude towards us and our dog left a sour taste in our mouths. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you're a pet owner.

Me and my partner both agreed it was the nicest food we had in our time in sorrento, i had the truffle taglioni and she had the mushroom and prawn risotto, both excellent and really beautifully presented. Lovely surroundings and service. Highly recommend.

Rude. Stuck up. Arrogant. Tried popping in for a drink around 9:30pm. There were plenty of free tables outside. We asked if we could sit down for drinks. The waiter didn’t seem pleased but said we could choose a table to sit down at so we did. Waited for 15 minutes to be served then the waiter came up to us to tell us that we couldn’t have our chairs next to one another facing out to the street (to people watch) as no one would want to sit next to us and that we’d already lost him customers…. There were other tables free and no one else has asked to sit down in the time we’d been there. AVOID

Very unpleasant people. We were expelled without explanation for ordering 2 glass of wine and one side dish. No one told us there is a minimum order price or let us order something else . Shamed us and told us to leave . Would not recommend under any circumstances.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und relativ ruhige Lage. Jedoch sind die Preise viel zu hoch und an der Eingangstüre steht geschrieben „Minimum spending 25€ per Person“.
Das Personal ist nicht wirklich aufmerksam oder freundlich, würde nicht nochmals dieses Lokal besuchen.

En mi perfil encontraréis tanto comentarios buenos como malos pero, siempre, sustentados en la más rigurosa objetividad.
A partir de aquí os cuento mi triste historia la qual se resume en “No me dejaron cenar en la terraza de este restaurante porqué iba solo”.
A la entrada de la terraza consta que la mínima consumición obligatoria es de 25€ por persona.
Obviamente, mi intención era consumir bastante más de 25€ pero uno de los responsables no me dio la oportunidad ya que, cuando le dije que iba solo, me dijo que en la terraza no podía ser (a la vez que me señalaba las escaleras abajo).
Le pregunté porqué y no me dio ningún motivo, se limitó a decirme que no podía.
Entiendo que en un sitio tan turístico como Sorrento los hosteleros vivan de los ingresos que dejamos los turistas y que un cliente descontento (donde se va uno pero vuelve otro) no les afectará lo más mínimo en sus ingresos pero, aún así, creo que no todo vale.

Buena ubicación. Un jardín muy agradable. Comimos Tagliatele con ragú, pescado y calamares fritos y ravioli al limón. La comida estaba buena.
