In the centre of Sorrento, this gastronomic restaurant in honour of Enrico Caruso (1873-1921) is lined with photos of the famous tenor from Naples, whose voice never fails to provide the background music for meals. Music and fine cuisine have always gone hand in hand. The plates are small paintings in themselves, where colours, perfumes and flavours are combined with finesse and modernity. The high-ceilinged room is a small museum of caricature. The restaurant enjoys a good reputation. The wine list is first class.

Culinary perfection. Classy restaurant with the Caruso theme. The red shrimp appetizer is fresh, crunchy and visually appealing. The grouper pasta is excellent. Enticing colours and distinct balanced flavors. Highly recommended.

The best dinner we had so far in Campania. Unlike so many other places we tried during our trip, the atmosphere was quiet and original, the recipes were extremely subtle and unique, and the staff very friendly. The price was very decent for the quality. The fish was exquisite and the pasta very fine.

(We had a tiny startle with the "service not included" which we saw elsewhere in Sorrento, unlike anywhere else in Europe, and we left 5% which seemed enough. We are still unsure how that sits with the european directive of 2005 about fair commercial practices...)

The cuisine and atmosphere are quite refined, the service is good. Too bad they specifically ask you for a tip with the 0℅ service charge trick that we only saw in Sorrento.
