TERME DI AGNANO

Agnano is an ancient volcanic crater of the Phlegrean Fields, formed more than 8000 years ago. It is located between Pozzuoli and Naples, near the district of Fuorigrotta and Bagnoli. Archaeological excavations have revealed the importance of thermalism in this place since the Antiquity. The site was already exploited by the Romans, and the Greeks also seemed to know the therapeutic virtues of thermal waters and gases. Today, a modern complex (within a hotel) offers a wide range of treatments, thanks to the mineral qualities of Agnano's water.
