Set inside a 13th-century medieval tower in the heart of the Upper Town, the interior is completely redesigned and furnished according to the strictest rules of contemporary design. Very bad experience. I had booked a three night stay and ended up needing to leave one night early - a pretty standard operation. The person at the front desk, who I later learn is the general manager, tells me that this is considered a “cancellation” and would need to be requested 48 hrs prior. He let me know they would try to sell the room but if unsuccessful, would have to charge “a cancellation fee” which was just the full night invoice. Of course they didn’t manage to sell the room. Very confusing experience, I have never had a problem checking out a night early in another hotel - ever. Would not stay here again and don’t recommend.
