Castle very popular with the lords of Milan, located in Pandino.

The Pandino Castle surprises for its architecture and its very well preserved pictorial decorations. Built by Bernabò Visconti in 1354, the castle was built in the middle of a particularly gamey terrain, much appreciated by the lords of Milan, who were great hunting enthusiasts. Square in plan, with a vast inner courtyard, the powerful watchtowers at the entrance were built by the Visconti family to better defend the fortress from Venetian attacks. In the 16th century the castle completely lost its defensive function and became a country residence.
