VELKE NÁMĚSTÍ

At the bottom of the castle, this vast square surrounded by colored houses with arcades is the heart of the city. The houses, Gothic, are low, massive, with arcades for some, and form a harmonious whole. Note the beautiful Art Nouveau house at number 17, framed by more pretentious buildings. The Bata store, a must in the region, offers a more functional architecture. At the corner of the square, to the southwest, you will also see the town hall, with its double clock: one for the hours, the other for the minutes.
