DIETRICHSTEIN PALACE MUSEUMS

Located on the west side of the square, the Dietrichstein Palace is one of Brno's largest palaces. It was built in the early th century to serve as the seat of Cardinal Frantisek Dietrichstein, but its current baroque appearance dates from the th century. It houses the main section of the Moravian Land Museum (Moravské Zemské Muzeum). It is a very «school output» museum, with exhibits of geology, ethnology, paleontology, archaeology on Moravia and the history of the region.
