PLACE DE LA PAIX (NÁMĚSTÍ MÍRU)

It is a large, elongated rectangular square dominated by a 56-meter leaning Baroque tower (věž na náměstí) - which can be climbed into -, closed by a medieval gate and lined with very well-preserved colorful facades (often Gothic and Renaissance burgher houses, with Baroque and Rococo gables). Also noteworthy: the town hall completed in 1893 in an Austro-Hungarian style. To assert the power of the state, it far exceeds the other houses of the square.
