The main square is surrounded by pretty, colorful old houses. Take a look at the beautiful Jenštejnský house at No. 27, which hosts interesting exhibitions in the Czech Karst Museum (Muzeum Českého krasu Beroun, open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm, Sundays from 10am). Not far away stands the city's main church - St. Jacob (Kostel Sv. Jakuba), which dates from the 13th century, but underwent modifications until 2000.Also noteworthy is the town hall, built in the early 20th century in neobaroque style.
