By approaching the village, you can see the white domes of the Cathedral of La Trinité. Built by a rich merchant in 1885, lies in the centre of the village cemetery, hidden partly behind large trees. Its facades are richly decorated with friezes and pediments and the whole is typical of the th century.About 1 km from the cemetery, the village of Poretchïé is found. During history, according to the political circumstances and the decisions of the czars, Poretchïé belonged to different principalities and was even offered by Catherine II to his favourite, Count Orlov. As in all the other villages of Nero Lake, there have been fruits, vegetables and herbal and medicinal plants for centuries. You will probably be affected to learn that a Frenchman (a certain Malón) founded the first vegetable conservation plant in Poretchïé in 1875. In the 2 000 th century, it was the most prosperous village in the region, about inhabitants, a large part of which was in stone (which was a brand of wealth), and owned a bank, a school and a "gostini dvor". Twice a year, villagers held fairs, during which, in the evening, they lit candles on the streets and deposited dried vegetables (their only wealth) near the richest house in Poretchïé. The plan and streets of the oldest part of the village, in the middle of which the Sara river flows, have remained unchanged since the th century. A small tour in the village allows you to immerse yourself in a bygone era. In the th century, however, it was inconceivable that a village of such importance did not have a stone church. In 1767, we were built in the centre of Poretchïé, the Pierre-and-Paul church and its steeple at the pyramid roof, in the precise place of a wooden church, as tradition wanted. In the centre of the whole, the bell tower, high between 1772 and 1779, is one of the masterpieces of the Rostov region attributed to the famous architect Kozlov. It has five different levels, decorated with pediments and columns. At the top, above the bells and a small dome shaped in the shape of a bulb, the gold cross dominates the surrounding area. You can access the banks of Nero Lake by following the Sara course, and enjoy the stunning view over the Rostov Kremlin in front.
