Welcome to the ultimate pub, the quintessence of the exalted British. Her Majesty herself could pull the beers behind the bar that no one would be shocked. Several rooms on floors, low ceilings, lots of woodwork and large slabs on the floor: for the setting, one can hardly dream of anything better than this half-timbered house from the 15th century. Refreshing real ales and a wide choice of affordable food are another significant plus. The music is atmospheric and the fireplaces, like the old photos, do not spoil anything. Puddings, omelettes, magpies, jacket potatoes, burgers, quiches, chili, rabbit, pigeon, steak, lamb or chicken... Let's bet that you will find what you are looking for, including vegetarian and gluten-free offers.

Très bonne ambiance au resto Black Swan. Ça m'a plu. Je reviendrai sûrement dans cet agréable resto à York.
