On 28 February 1788, the governor of Barinas, Fernando Miyares González, founded the city of San Fernando del Paso Real de Settles. The name then awarded is in homage to Don Fernando de Borbón, duke of Parma. There are few visitors who stay in the capital of Settles. It must be noted, indeed, that the industrial centre of the Llanos, which has just exceeded 130 000 inhabitants, is not the most charming city, which condemns it to being a city of passage. If you have a few hours to kill between two connections, you can squat a bench on Plaza Bolívar, whose trees offer a welcome shade in the middle of this desperately hot city. The north entrance will not fail to appear somewhat strange when arriving. Built at the time when European courts would rip the gorgeous herons of the herons of San Fernando, the Palace of Des experienced decline when this business dried up. The herons have disappeared due to their plumage and the building, which has been hand in hand since the beginning of the th century, now houses some shops and has lost a great deal of its superb.
