FÊTE DE LA RENAISSANCE

Tortosa was, throughout the Renaissance, the fifth largest city in Catalonia and a leading artistic center. It is in memory of this splendid period that the city organizes a great festival every year, immersing its streets and squares in a singular atmosphere: about sixty shows are given, with 500 actors and musicians and not far from 3,000 inhabitants playing the game by not hesitating to put on costumes of the 16th century.
