Museum housing the remains of the city of Tarraco where you can admire many marble statues from the theater
Built on a fragment of the Roman wall discovered during the construction of the building, the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona (abbreviated to MNAT) houses the remains of the city of Tarraco, the ancient name of Tarragona, whose site was occupied by Rome from 218 BC. You can admire many marble statues from the theater, beautiful mosaics, coins and ceramics discovered during excavations throughout the area of the ancient Roman colony. A fundamental visit.

Le musée est sans doute très riche et intéressant mais pour l'instant il est en fermeture de longue durée pour réaménagement et travaux.
For seulemnt 2.40€, we had access to this superb museum, located in an old Roman site dating from the 1st century B.C. before you can when admire the vestiges of the ancient town of Tarragona, called Tarraco. You can admire many vestiges of sculptures, mosaics, ceramics, household utensils, amphorae, clothes, coins... A 20 century plongeaon behind, splendid!
