EL BOSC DE LA MARQUESA - THE FOREST OF THE MARQUISE

Looking north along Tarragona's shoreline in the distance, you can see a thick grove of trees lining the coastline: this is the Marquise Forest. It is so named because the land on which the pine forests are spread out belongs to a marquise who rejected offers from real estate companies in the 1960s. Today, it is a little frequented place, where a very appreciable calm reigns in the heart of a thick and ancient vegetation. Several paths cross the forest.
