PALAEOLITHIC MUSEUM

The archaeological excavations that have been carried out in the area have led to the discovery of the presence of prehistoric men. The Paleolithic Museum exhibits the results of these excavations in the archaeological area of Isernia La Pineta, begun in 1979. The focus is also on the research, the work of the archaeologist and the various methods of archiving and restoration. The museum was closed for several months, at the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023, to offer a new and more attractive tour to visitors.
