BASILICA SAN VALENTINO

A romantic pilgrimage to the Basilica of San Valentino, patron saint of the city, whose bones still lie here. In fact, Valentino was buried in this basilica, which is located just outside the historic centre of Terni, on the site of an ancient Christian cemetery. Bishop of Terni in the 2nd and 3rd centuries, Valentino died as a martyr because of his faith. Every year, to celebrate Valentine's Day on 14 February, there are special celebrations for the fiancés, with no less than nine masses .
