Amazing paleochristian basilica, one of the oldest Christian buildings in Italy.

This is an amazing early Christian basilica from the5th and 6th centuries, known as the Tempio di Sant'Angelo. It is one of the oldest Christian buildings in Italy. The building was built on the ruins of a Roman temple, itself built on an Etruscan site, during a period when pagan religions were in recession and Christianity was taking hold in the territory of the empire. Its circular plan is its main characteristic.
