Built between 1540 and 1548 by the artist himself, this beautiful house is, beyond an example representative of Tuscan mannerism, an intimate part of Giorgio Vasari's life. Painter, sculptor, architect and art critic born in Arezzo in 1511, Vasari was one of the most brilliant artists of Italian mannerism, typical of the Renaissance. The many paintings and frescoes that decorate the rooms are much more than just a decoration: they are a true testimony to his thought, his art and his research. Not to be missed.
