Hotel Medici is a 2-star establishment with a view of the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. It's just a 7-minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery and 14 minutes from Santa Maria Novella station. Rooms are simple and bright, with traditional wooden furnishings. Some rooms feature a ceiling fan and/or a view of the cathedral. Complimentary breakfast is served in a relaxed café. The hotel also offers a rooftop terrace. Services and facilities include free Wi-Fi, paid parking, disabled access, room service and pet-friendly. Guests rated the rooms with a 2.2 and the location with a 4.6. The hotel is close to the city center, with stores and tourist attractions nearby, as well as to the train station.

De la gare florentine " Santa Maria Novella " jusque l'hôtel Medicis au n°6 de la rue du même nom, cela devait prendre onze minutes à pied. Il nous fallut un chouia plus de temps malgré l'aide d'une application de géolocalisation sur mobile. 225 € les cinq nuits dans la ville la plus chère d'Italie, fallait pas s'attendre à crécher dans un palace mais les services qu'offrait ce deux étoiles étaient plus que corrects : accueil avec le sourire, personnel parlant parfaitement le français, chambre décorée sans faute de goût avec ses quatre murs peints en blanc et malgré un dessus de lit des plus kitchs et enfin, sa salle de bain privative, ce qui ne courait pas les rues lors de mes recherches budgétisées sur le web. Le vrai plus de cet hôtel est sans aucun doute sa situation géographique à cinq minutes de la cathédrale et sa terrasse au sixième étage avec son imprenable vue sur le Duomo.
