Beautiful lakeside gardens offering romantic walks in Bellagio.
The villa was built between 1808 and 1815 for Duke Francesco Melzi d'Eril, vice-president of the Cisalpine Republic and ally of Napoleon. You can visit the chapel and the small museum, installed in the orangery. Archaeological pieces and Napoleonic souvenirs are on display. In the chapel, decorated with frescoes in monochrome, lie several members of the former aristocratic family. Above all, one can walk with delight through the magnificent park, the first example of an English garden on the shores of Lake Como, which was rented by Stendhal.

Les jardins sont reposants, offrent un panorama sublime, quelques statues habillent les chemins, ... de superbes photos et un bon moment à passer !

Les jardins sont très beaux et s'y promener est l'idéal après avoir visité Bellagio. Ils sont sur un coté de la colline de Ballagio, et on a la vue sur le lac tout le temps. Ils permettent vraiment de profiter de la paix et de la tranquillité du lac de Côme, tout en étant à Bellagio!

Considering the price of 6.5 euro i think it IS worth a visita especially if you want to go to loppia for a jump in the water. It IS not so big but full of plants and a nice promenade on the lake

Juste à l'entrée de la ville de Bellagio, la visite des jardins de la villa Melzi est incontournable. De nombreux sentiers traversent les jardins et permettent d'admirer les nombreux arbres et fleurs. Très bien entretenus.
