Hotel with gourmet restaurant in a pleasant setting near the center of Orta.
Have you ever slept in a castle? If you can't stay there, the "villa" is well worth a visit. The brainchild of Cristoforo Crespi, who hoped to emulate the palaces of Baghdad, the neo-Moorish Villa Crespi was built in 1879. A member of the Relais & Châteaux group, Villa Crespi boasts superb grounds that slope gently down to the lake. Just 600 m from the center of Orta, the establishment combines enchanting orientalism with modern comforts. The gourmet restaurant is run by chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo.

Every room is different with ceiling beds and ornaments
The Restaurant is top and improved the last years constantly since my first visit 2002. Unfortunately for me as today 2017 it is difficult to get a table and a room
