RANDONNÉE AU LAC D'ARPY

This is one of the best-known walks in Valle d'Aosta. From Morgex, take the SR39 and leave the car at the Col Arpy after the village. From here, take path^no. 15 opposite the Hotel Genzianella, which leads in about an hour, through a suggestive trail of fir and larch trees, to Lac d'Arpy, one of the most scenic in the region. This vast expanse of emerald water offers a breathtaking panorama of the Mont-Blanc range, which on fine days is reflected in the water like a mirror.
