Opened in 1961, this museum tells the story of the siege of Turin in the 17th century, and houses the city beneath the capital.
In 1706, just as Louis XIV's troops were about to conquer Turin, the valiant Pietro Micca sacrificed himself, blowing up access to one of the underground passages that could have led the enemy army to Piazza Castello. This romantic hero before his time has been revered in the city ever since, to the point of being given a museum, opened in 1961. The exhibition evokes the historical context of the siege of Turin in the 18th century, and at the same time provides access to a section of the underground passageways, the "city beneath the city" of the Piedmontese capital.

Intéressant pour les souterrains
Un petit musée surtout intéressant pour la visite des souterrains qui ont servi pendant le siège de Turin par les français sous le règne de Louis XIV.
