Every year, Alba is besieged by hundreds of gourmets in search of the Holy Grail of gastronomy: the delicate truffle!
An event full of scents that brings together every year hundreds of lovers of the precious tuber: the truffle. The streets of Alba are filled with stalls covered with black truffles or rarer white truffles. A passion of the rich, because the white truffle can reach 150 € for only 50 g! Stalls occasionally display numerous truffle-flavoured craft specialities in jars and preserves, enough to bring back good products as souvenirs.

the festival is an occasion to buy some white truffle but be careful, they are very expensive and they do not keep the smell and taste for long if not properly kept (and it is very diffictult to maintain them). And be careful to the truffle from Eastern Europe that are on sale ...

Grand moment de fête à Alba pour la "sagra" de la truffe. La truffe blanche est encore plus chère que la truffe noire et plus savoureuse. Si vous avez l'occasion d'aller je recommande, on passe un bon moment, mange de bons plats et en plus Alba est une très jolie ville à visiter.
