GARE ROUTIÈRE DE KOČANI (АВТОБУСКА СТАНИЦА КОЧАНИ)

This small site (Археолошки Локалитет Мородвис) preserves the intertwined remains of four basilicas and churches built between the^5th and ^13th centuries. These are located in the center of the beautiful village of Morodvis (about 300 inhabitants), which covers an entire ancient city. A Roman settlement was founded here in the ^1st century, which later became a town known as Morobizdon during the Byzantine period, and then Crkvište after the arrival of the Slavs in the ^7th century.
