This Orthodox church (Црква Света Троица/Crkva Sveta Troica) is the main monument of the city. Built from 1997 to 2003, it is inspired by the Serbian-Byzantine style with a Greek cross plan, a dome, four domes and a 23.50 m high campanile. The frescoes are the work of Ukrainian artists and the icons were painted by Macedonians. The church was wanted and financed (10 million euros) by the local businessman and politician Risto Gušterov (born 1948).
