MUSÉE LAZAR-LIČENOSKI

Opened in 2022 and located beneath the fortress along the Vardar, this museum (Музеј Лазар Личеноски/Muzej Lazar Ličenoski, Muzeu Lazar Liçenoski) is part of the National Gallery. This is the former home of expressionist painter Lazar Ličenoski (1901-1964), one of the country's greatest contemporary artists. The exterior is adorned with three mosaics by Ličenoski. Inside: paintings (still lifes, landscapes and portraits), studio and office. The house is also scheduled to host exhibitions of works by current artists.
