On its website, this local organization lists inexpensive rural accommodation with local people, in farms or gîtes, in small family-run hotels or mountain refuges. In all, over 170 addresses throughout Northern Macedonia, each with a brief description and contact details in English. Supported by the European Union and the World Bank, Visit Rural also offers restaurants, often very good ones, in the countryside or in isolated valleys, as well as activities such as kayaking or paragliding.
