BOLOGNA JAZZ FESTIVAL

Founded in 1958, the BJF is the oldest Italian festival dedicated to jazz music. The biggest names of the genre have distinguished themselves on the Bolognese scene: Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Sarah Vaughan, Ray Charles, B. B. King, Michel Petrucciani... The festival has acquired an international reputation and every year, from the end of September to the end of November, the theatres, clubs, streets, bars and schools of Bologna host concerts by the greatest representatives of the Italian and international jazz scene.
