The center of modern and contemporary art highlights plastic and pictorial works.

The Center for Modern and Contemporary Art embodies La Spezia's commitment to cultural renewal. The museum showcases plastic and pictorial works from the various editions of the Gulf National Painting Prize, between 1949 and 1965 and since 2000. These are complemented by works from various private collections, providing a comprehensive overview of twentieth-century artistic production. Finally, regular exhibitions invite the public to get closer to multimedia art (videos, digital art) and performance art.
