Ancient defensive tower overlooking the sea in Camogli
Known as Castello della Dragonara, or Castel Dragone, this ancient defensive tower overlooking the sea, built in 1130, once protected Camogli from pirate raids and Saracen invasions. It was used as a prison before becoming a permanent exhibition center called "Un port@le sul mare". A long flight of steps leads from the port to the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and, just opposite, to the castle. From its ramparts, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea, the village and as far as Portofino.

Camogli, un vrai petit paradis à quelques kms de Gênes. Découvrir sa plage, se balader dans les ruelles, sous les arches et au pied de la tour Castel Dragone....une très jolie découverte
The best at Camogli and around
