Camogli is located in a basin covered with olive and fruit trees, at the western end of the Golfo Paradiso. The sailors used to leave the village to the women for long periods of time, hence the name Camogli (in Ca de Muggé dialect, "the house of the women"). The houses, squeezed around the old village, preserve the old structure of the fishing ports, with their narrow passages, stairs and arcades. It is certainly one of the most poetic places on the coast. The sun comes here to caress the colored facades of the houses whose image is reflected in the sea. It is necessary to stop there. You have to stay there.
