Impressive pirate ship, famous for being the setting for Roman Polanski's film.
This impressive pirate ship is moored in the Porto Antico. Reconstructed on the model of ancient ships, it is famous for having served as the setting for Roman Polanski's film Pirates (1986). At 63 m long and 16.4 m wide, this 1,500-ton vessel can navigate at speeds of up to 5 knots. During your visit, you'll stroll from the gun room (in the hull) to the pontoon and bow, admiring the wood carvings, kitsch gilding and rope art, not to mention the beautiful view over the harbor.
