Situated opposite the Teatro della Tosse, this renowned restaurant offers top-quality Ligurian and Piedmontese cuisine using local produce. Its speciality? Atypical recipes: asparagus flan, octopus salad with bacon, Taggiasca olives, ginger mashed potatoes, ravioli filled with pesto and pine nut cream, squid ink rice with cheese and pepper and, last but not least, homemade génoise ice cream and espresso washed down with Amaro Camatti liqueur, a Genoa specialty. En flânant au hasard des ruelles du vieux Gênes, c'est une bonne odeur de cuisine qui nous a attirée. Bon choix, là aussi, un bon accueil, la serveuse a pris le temps de nous traduire et détailler les plats. Si la quantité n'est pas énorme, la finesse de la préparation et le gout en font un bon moment de dégustation. Le vin, pouvant être servi au verre, choisi dans une carte très fournie, ne nous a pas déçu. La présence d'une forte clientèle locale nous a conforter dans notre choix

What a pity that moments before me to sit on the terrace of this restaurant opposite an imposing church, I would have force-fed antipasti during " the apéritivo " in a bar at the foot of due torre. My plate of pasta to the frutti di mare was delicious and presentation of the dishes ravelled with the tables made really want, but I was not hungry. I finished my " all the same; " primo piatti; without difficulty, but also to disappoint the owner who seems to be a colourful character, the autographs of various celebrities hanging on the walls of the restaurant prove it.
