Getting around by boat and ferry Suva

The company owns three vessels, Lomaiviti Princess I, II & III. All three vessels offer comfortable and well-kept seats and cabins. To reach Savusavu and/or Taveuni from Suva, departure every Monday and Friday evening at 6pm, arrival the next day in Taveuni at 10.30am. A weekly service is held to Kadavu on Wednesday evenings at 10pm. Shipping services for Gau, Lau (Vanuabalavu & Cicia), Rotuma and Yasayasa Moala are provided once a month, ask directly.

Departures for Savusavu, Vanua Levu three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6pm. Count from 80 F$ for a cabin. The journey takes 12 hours. Only the Wednesday and Friday trips continue to Taveuni. On the way back to Suva, he leaves Taveuni at 12pm on Friday and Sunday, to arrive in Savusavu around 5pm.

It is a combined with a ferry and shuttle bus. Two main trips to the island of Ovalau or Vanua Levu. Ovalau: it is a formula interesting and much cheaper than air transportation for those wishing to visit Ovalau. Departure every day from Suva around 14:00 by bus, after two and a half hours by road arrival to the pier of Natovi, about one hour from crossing until Lautoka. For Vanua Levu, departs from Rakiraki from the pier for Nabouwalu Ellington, west of Vanua Levu, about 11 hours of crossing. You can continue by bus to Labasa.

The journey by boat from Suva with Rotuma takes 36 hours and the conditions on board are very basic.
