NKRUMAH MAUSOLEUM AND MUSEUM

This mausoleum, laid out in a pleasant garden, houses the tomb of Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah, one of the leaders of the Pan-African movement and considered a hero throughout the continent. The mausoleum itself is in the Soviet style dear to Nkrumah and consists of a sort of concrete tower surrounded by an esplanade with fountains. The mausoleum contains a memorial museum, dedicated to Nkrumah, with photographs and personal effects on display.
